Our escape into nature's refuge, a few hours from Seattle.

Rejuvenating, brisk air beckons for an invigorating swim.

Panoramic views greeted our every gaze across the lake.

We explored Lake Quinault's serenity, beauty, and history.

We enjoyed spending a full day around this spectacular region together for relaxation, unwinding, and recreation. We touched both lake shores, hiking Olympic National Park (north shore) and Olympic National Forest (south shore). A morning fog, shrouding shoreline treetops, temporarily accents the Olympic National Rainforest's natural wonder. We strolled through the ancient rainforests of the western lowlands, and later, the alpine meadows of the high peaks.
Our cozy cottage sat on the shore of picturesque Lake Quinault at the edge of the beautiful Quinault Rainforest. Lake Quinault’s clear, clean, glacier fed waters lapped at the beach bordering the back yard of our little lakeside chalet. On the Olympic Peninsula at the northern end of Grays Harbor County, the Quinault Rain Forest frames the Quinault Valley with ridges that rise over 3,000 feet. The southwest corner of the Olympic National Park on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, surrounded by the Olympic National Forest at the Quinault Indian Reservation.
