Mother enjoys morning sunrise strolls along the shore. Hi, Daddy! What bait are the fish taking this morning? Joe at the table with Diane & George at Ruth's "55" picnic. Last look at the ocean before we head inland to go home.

Alana is athletic, any way you look at it. Alana photographs her grandparents (Diane's parents, JP and Carol; and Ruth and George's Mother and Daddy). Hi, Alana! Alana enjoys the sliding board in her backyard in Conway.

A skipper takes a drink of nectar. Crab hole. Shark. Spanish Mackerel that Tim and Gail caught and gave Ruth.

Coastal Animals at A Place at the Beach
 

The beach bean, Canavalia rosea, thrives in the sandy soil. Asiatic Dayflower, Spiderwort Family, an invasive weed. Clusters of grey-blue, waxy berries on female Southern Bayberry (Waxmyrtle), Myrica cerifera, a native plant. The beach path ends where turf meets surf at high tide.
The perennial Largeleaf (or Beach, or Water) Pennywort, Hydrocotyle bonariensis, a prostrate herbaceous plant. Pennywort has creeping lateral stems and quite circular basal leaves that are peltate, with irregular shallow lobes. Blooms grace pennywort early spring into early fall, Texas to Florida and north to Virginia, mostly along the coast. Small white pennywort flowers form in branching clusters, typical of members in its parsley family (Umbelliferae).

Windblown sand, and surf foam. Tim surf fishes. His Spanish Mackerel was delicious eating! Sand and Surf. Sand and Surf.

Seashore
 

Sun-up from the beach path on September 29, 7:17 a.m. Daybreak from the boardwalk at 7:14 a.m. on 9/29/2007. Charles’ daughter Jodi on a sunrise stroll on the beach as a fish jumps in the surf. She brought us a blue, one of four Charles caught and gave us. He also gave us four dozen little mullet, giving us delicious dining daily. Daddy cleaned all but one which Ruth killed, cleaned, cooked, and served. Sunrise and sea oats, 7:23 a.m. on September 28, 2007.
